I have had my live rock curing for a little over a week now with a skimmer and a powerhead to move the water. How long does this stuff have to sit before it can be put in the main tank?
test the water the rock is sitting in for phosphates. when you get zero phosphates it's done. scrub the rock with a stiff bristle brush every few days to help the process. make sure you keep it completely dark, as well.
when u have a nitrate reading its done it goes from a amonia level to a nitrite level then a nitrate level then your amonia and nitrite should be 0 dont have to keep dark a little warmer water speeds it up and put a powerhead for circulation can take a month to cure
