Curious about 90g fish lists

davidryder

Claris or Elliot?
I know 90g is a popular size tank and I was just wondering what other people had stocked as far as fish go. I'll go:

1 Lyretail Anthias
1 Kole Tang
1 Foxface
3 Chromis
1 Gold Stripe Maroon

I'm just trying to gauge how heavily stocked my tank is relative to others.

Anyone else?

I have the following:
Blue Hippo Tang
Majestic Angel
Cherub Angel
Midas Blenny
Blue spotted goby
Leopard Wrasse
Cleaner Wrasse
Gold Stripe Maroon Clown

This is what I have
Lineatus Fairy Wrasse
Blue Flasher Wrasse
Solar Fairy Wrasse
False Ocellaris Clown
Diamond Goby
Purple Firefise
Neon Goby

My 90g is stocked with the following (smallest to largest):

- Talbot's damsel (1.5", full grown)
- Midas blenny (2")
- South Seas devil damsel (2", full grown)
- Orange-spot shrimp goby (2", will reach ~4")
- Ocellaris clownfish (2.5", could reach ~4")
- Brazillian gramma (4", probably full grown)
- Yellow tang (3", could reach 9")
- Lamarck's swallowtail angel (3.5", could reach 7-9")

There are also some crustaceans adding to the bioload:
- Pincushion urchin (2.5")
- Coral banded shrimp (3.5", doubt she'll get much bigger)
- Tiger pistol shrimp (2")
- Whelk (2"+, could reach ~4-6", not sure of the species)
- CUC (right now just 2 nassarius snails, 3 cerith snails, 5 tiny hermits - I need to replenish the CUC!)

and I'd like to add a sixline wrasse and cherub angel (C. argi) to the tank sometime soon.

Hello All,

I have the following:

2 Zebra Damsels (I used these to cycle and could not get rid of them)
1 Algae Blenny
1 Red Sea SailFin Tang
1 Black Perc
1 Yellow Eye Tang
1 Marshall Island Flame Angel
1 X-Mas Wrasse
1 Orchid Dottyback

2 Urchins
A bunch of hermits

Abunch of GHA

At the peak of its bioload, my 90g had:
Tassled filefish - lovable creature almost foot long, including tail,
Valentini puffer - small, but spits just like filefish, and has 3 times daily feeding too,
Mombasa lion - clean eater an pooper,
3 chromises,
1 damsel,
1 percula clown
2 scooter dragonets,
1 mandarin dragonet
The frozen food for dragonets and spitting fish created main amount of bioload, IMHO. And not much place for a swimming without collisions, so I would say that the tank was heavily stocked :D

Indeed :D

I had 2 scooters in my 125 and it may be because they were males but they didn't get along very well AT ALL!!! The extra 2' made it harder for them to run into each other - did you have any problems with your 2 guys?

Not a 90, but I've got a 120 which is similar;

Powder Blue Tang
Yellow Tang
Tomini Tang
5 Lyretail Anthias
3 Chromis
1 true Percula Clown
1 Diamond Watchman Goby

I have:
-Purple Tang
-Blue Tang
-Yellow Tang [new... getting beat up]
-Powder Blue Tang [new.. getting beat up]
-Sixline Wrasse
-Purple Firefish
-3 Chromis
-2 Bangaii Cardinals

WOW, that's some fish list for a 90.

One tang doesn't belong in a 90, let alone 4... Maybe 11 fish with 4 being Tangs is to much..

I have 4 Tangs in my 500, with 20 fish total and I feel that's alot.

Just my 2 cents...

yeah.. alot of people would probably agree but I think the PB tang is going to die b/c the pruple tang is harassing him so much and he wont eat.
The yellow tang is putting up quite a fight though..

Fishfreak218.

I'm sorry but I don't understand your thinking. How can you let fish suffer?

I enjoy this hobby very much, but at time it makes me wonder.

Some people never cease to amaze me....

I cant catch them now, unfortunatly....
I took a chance and it didnt work out.
Do I feel bad? yes.
Is there something I can do about it? Yes, but.. like most people, I am not going to go through the ordeal of taking all of my liverock/coral out of the tank to catch 2 fish.
Im sure there has been one time in your life where you killed something ...ever go fishing? or maybe squish a mosquito or a beetle/worm/frog [with the car]... no difference. Life is life. Some people just think that some animal's lives are more important then others.
Which I admit... I do value the life of a fish over an ant...
