Mounting float switches has always been a DIY endeavor; I came up with a solution based on my experience with Profilux.

Here are the parts you need:
*Magnetic probe holder I'm using a Vertex model
*3/8" acrylic rod. TAPPlastics
*GHL PL-LF-S8- level sensor holder
*Thogus Nylon Tube Fitting 1/4" NPT Male x 1/8" NPT Female

Float is height adjustable and the rod fits as many sensors as you need. You can also order custom lengths based on sump depth.

HTH :smokin:

Thanks. I hoped others would benefit from it since I see so many DIY solutions and mounts; I thought this would solve a lot of people's problems with a standard - easy to acquire solution.

Wow

Wow

Wish I would of found this before I came up with another solution that was a PITA. :sad2: Great idea.

One question. What is the Thogus Nylon Tube Fitting used for? Don't see it in the pictures.

To act as nut to hold the float valve in place on the GHL sensor holder.

Finally getting around to putting this together and I'm having trouble sourcing the GHL PL-LF-S8 wants $24 shipping. Whoa. Any other source for these?

Here's the new link for the sensor holder: PL-LF-S8

ReefBytes is no longer in business.

Have been using this for over a year now; works flawlessly and very easy to adjust. HTH.
