Cutting Openings in Stand?

Hey all, I am in the process of building my own stand. I am almost done, and am wrapping the whole frame in 1/4" beadboard. I want to be sure that the openings I cut out for my doors are straight and square. I was planning on laying the stand on its back to cut the openings.

Does anyone have a good way to make a cutting guide for my jigsaw so I don't have to rely on my (not-so-steady) hand? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

You can use straight pieces of wood as a guide for the side of the saw. Remember to allow for the width of the saw foot. Tack the wood on or use double stick tape. Keep the side of the saw foot up aginst the wood.
