i already have a cuttlefish that is abnout 6 inches maybe bigger, I want to get another babby and put him in my frag tank. Does anyone know if they are reef safe?????

lol are you really asking this after owning one ??? wow as long as it only has corals your fine anything else be lunch from what ive studied on them

yep, anything that moves apart from urchins, stars and hermits is lunch...

also some corals and anemones will sting a cuttle badly

Well the one i have now, i just got a tank for him alone, never put anything else in the tank, thanx for the info, about coral.

I have successfully kept them in a reef. They only went after the fish. They left the snails, hermits and everything else alone. DON'T USE GREATER THAN 175 WATT HALIDES! Anything larger will permanently blind them.

Thanx for the info. Energy, i'm in San Antonio, TX a fishstore sells them here, and gets them in often if you request them

Please! Name and a number would be great. Probably almost 100% they are Bandesis but oh well- maybe they are healthy!

Any idea what species it could be? It seems a little bigger than your average bandensis. Got pics?

No pics, but the average size of the cuttlefish that they get is about 4-5 inches, i'm still waitting to talk to the owner, he's been in Las Vegas
