Cycle: Diatoms gone now what?

After my cycle my clean up crew did a real number on the diatoms all over the rocks.... Now everything is turning light green.. it looks like a very small algae all over the glass, rocks, sand, and snail shells.... what is it? How do i fix it?

Totally normal to see a hair algae bloom after diatoms as the tank finishes cycling. It should disipate on its own and from the help of your cleanup crew. No worries.

Should i cut back my lighting which is now running for 12 hours a day?

you can try cutting it to 8 hours a day, it might disipate faster

I had a brown algae problem, i cut back on my lighting and it helped a bit, i also say get a clean-up crew too.
