I just set up my 65 gallon reef tank. RO/DI water, none of the plummings leaking, and I'm happy! I am going to add aragonite today and seed it from my neighbors 120 gal reef tank. My question is...

If I buy live rock now, will it die if I dont have lights yet? I need to cycle the tank and am going to use live rock from live aquaria (Dr Fosters and Smith premium select fiji)

The "live-rock" wont die...but any coral thats attached to it might....(if you are lucky in getting any coral hitch-hikers)....
get your rocks and start your cycle.....

Thats what I meant. I'm not as concerned with the corals because I will add them slowly over time. I just didn't want the "Live" effect to die. I wonder if low light will hold back aptasia's...

Danny, low light wont hold back aiptasia, it is very hardy pest. IMO, put the rocks in tank before the sand, and let them cure there. This way it'll be easier to clean up the mess during curing.
