Cycle question

I'm at the end of week 2 and and trites and trates went to zero but my Amon came back up to .25 . Is this considered cycled or does the Amon still need to go down. The algae growth stopped and everythings still alive, I even see some purple coraline showing. Just an idea is that the amon came back due to inadaquete filtration. 1 hob 400gph biowheel powerfilter and one powerhead with a filter. I'm builing a new stand to fit a new sump I'm just not sure of when I should fire the sump up. I dont want to mess up the cycle if thats still going. Setup imformation , 55gl tank, 60lbs live sand , 35lbs LR, 20lbs BR, 3 damsels, 4 hermits, one bottle of cycle.

Sump it sooner rather than later. I'm no expert, but I'd say you're still in the early stages of cycle if you're showing any ammonia. Get a skimmer on that bad daddy while your at it.

It's going to take some time for things to settle, hang in there and resist the impulse to buy more fish for a few months at least. If you haven't been to a MARS meeting yet, try to make it and get some advice there as well. We have nice library for members to check out books. I highly recommend spending $40 on Bob Fenner's book, The Conciencious Marine Aquarist. It will save you far more than $40 if you read and follow it.
