Cycling rocks and heater

I have some dry rock that I want to cycle. I plan on adding a small amount of existing live rocks to get the process started. I will be gone two weeks, and will have the rocks cycling in an unfinished/unheated bathroom. Is a heater necessary for the cycling process? The bathroom will probably stay anywhere from 45F to about 65F.

Thanks

I'm currently cycling 50 lbs of live rock and 30 lbs of dry rock together in my house. With a heater and two small powerheads. I want to tell you IT STINKS! And after five days there are still no nitrites or nitrates...so it's gonna be awhile yet. My tank gets set up this weekend so I'm hoping the better circulation and larger volume of water will cut back on the smell but I'm definitely questioning my decision to do this!
