D40 versus D40x -refurb versus new

Ok guys, is it worth the extra money to go for the D40x as opposed to the D40? Or would I be best to save that money for new lenses?

Also, what is the consensus on Factory refurb's?

The only difference between the D40 and the D40x is the mega-pixal.....Unless your planning on blowing the images up to poster size prints, there is seriously no need to buy the D40x.....Save the money and buy a good macro lens
