No, everyone else just got ripped off ;)

Ha!
It's sometimes hard to see reality until someone points it out.

Sorta like what I felt when I bought a Monti from an in-state guy's propagated stock.
When Tyree came a year later, bought all the other frags .. made it `LE'. Funny, people didn't make that big a stink for it before - nor were willing to pay the other guy to get in line for an excessive price for even smaller frags.

I wouldn't call it any already-used name - if it doesn't have the genetic link. It could be the same morph - but could be a new one ... and IMO, why not have a `limited to my tank' coral? IMO, much cooler ;)

Does anyone know the species name of this particular coral. I was under the impression that is is a danae. Someone told me the bumpd on a danae were supposed to be taller???

We've had a couple of those incidents aroudn here. Its excessively silly.

Tyree is a marketing genius though.

I guess, but it's a shame that live animals are being commodified like beanie babies or some other consumer trend.

IMO those who would love to regulate our hobby will have a field day with `LE' ... and the perception that so many hobbyists are looking for the most rare pieces for ownership, vs stewardship of same pieces.

When I send your frag I will even give you a certificate of authenticity..... giving some catchy wonderful name which you can tell your friends about... maybe they will want one too and before you know it you will have a leng Si Phenomena...... Just kidding! LOL, name it what you want that's part of the fun.

I do own him, but he doesn't look like that anymore. : ( he had gotten very dark. I think he is going to stay ugly now.
