Dascyllus school?

Swimming in the School
Anyone ever tried a school of Dascyllus in a larger tank? I added 5 small Dascyllus melanurus to my 340 gallon (8'x4'x1.5' tall) display last night after a lengthy quarantine. All 5 seem to be fine with everyone else so far and they're still little now, so hopefully no issues for at least a while. The whole group lives in a large piece of liverock that looks like it was a large tabling acropora at some point. They are schooling with the 5 green chromis, the 5 lemon damsels (that look like and school with the green chromis), the 4 bicolor chromis, and the dispar anthias. I am hoping the big niger trigger and Koran angel help keep them in check. Worst case scenario they can live in the 150 gallon sump underneath.

They wouldn't school, but they may tolerate each other since it's an 8 footer, so they can disperse their territories. I'd expect to lose at least 2-3 though. They're a cool looking fish, I love their cartoonishly rounded shape, I've always had a thing for that genus, but I'd only ever keep them in a bruiser FOWLR set up, or maybe as clean up fish in a frag tank or something. Good luck

Well, for now they are schooling pretty tight, and between the big Niger trigger and the supermale princess damsel, they are staying together pretty well. I've got nets, a trap, and a barbless hook ready to go if needed though.
