So I was thinking about this and maybe over thinking some things but my tank is in my living room which has very large windows on both sides that allows a good amount of light coming in pretty much first thing in the morning at 8am. (This is with the blinds closed)
My main lights do not come on till 1pm and go till 9pm (8x80w t5s) but pretty much everything in the tank is wide awake and swimming around at 8am till 9pm and I also noticed the nighttime PE on the acros is not the same from 8am-1pm even though the main lights are off because of the sunlight coming in to the room.
The only time I really get the full nighttime (blackout) is from 10pm till 8am, is that enough? I really cant change my light from 1pm-9pm to 8am till 4pm as I wouldnt get to see the tank in light besides the hour I was home for lunch.
I am mostly wondering if I should add more shades or thicker blinds or shouldnt I even be worrying about this? Also wondering if anyone else is in this situation and if they noticed something similar or how they deal with it, or maybe you dont do anything at all.
