I am thinking of adding a "Dead Seaweed bead" on my outdoor DSD bucket, this bucket has about 12" of sand and 2" of water on top with a small flow. The reason I want to add dead seaweed on top is because i have about 10 small mangroves that seem to grow much better in seaweed beads. my question is does dead, rinsed off seaweed add to nitrates? after seaweed is dry ed does it still decompose ? any suggestions ?
