I had a sunburst anthias for over a year then it got sick. I had no idea what it was, but it had tail rot and some wierd white/tan spots on its fins. The spots did not look fungal, as they were seemed like nodules and not fugus or mold like. The spots were larger than ick.
I was treating with triple-sulfa and for a few days it seemed to get better, the fins were healing and the nodules were getting smaller. On the last day of the treatment it seemed to get worse.
I finished the treatment and it stopped eating, and the tail started rotting away more. Few days later it was dead.
Any ideas what this could be? I did tons of research before and while trying to treat the fish but could not find anything.
If you know what the disease could be, what should I have been using to treat the fish?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
