deep dimension aquariums

i was wondering if anyone else has heard any news about the new deep dimension aquariums that marineland is coming out with? according to them they are already out but i still want to know prices, and the local fish store that i help out at still has no new info on pricing. but they are supposed to be the new 36" front to back tanks. they come in 3', 4', 5', and 6'. and i was interested in getting the 6 footer, i don't think there are any better dimensions of a tank, 72"x36"x27". and i guess they are also coming out with new lights, skimmers, sumps, and return pumps. just thought someone in here would know more.

the dimensions are awesome, and they can come with either starphire glass or not. beveled edges, they should be super nice, and i cant wait to see the price on them.

I think i saw one at my LFS it was 48x36x27 starphire. My dream dimensions

I am just starting to look at getting a custom tank of almost exactly those dimensions.
Is there anywhere that they have more information about these tanks? I can't find anything on their website.

Just thought lighting might be abit hard.. unless you go with 2-250ws with 4 54 T5 prob will get low light around the outside maybe even some shade but it should be okay i would think for your zoas, palys and what not and keep SPS in the center to the top. As for the height i guess it depends on how deep your sand bed is.

I think i stood and stared at that tank for a good 10 mins at my LFS.. lol. I loved how much front-back space you had honestly when looking in from the front it looked like a perfect cube. The only thing i wish it had (not sure if it did or not) but holes drilled in the bottom for CL. Still not sure if i want to go this way with my next tank or not because of possible leaks and or cracks.. but i love the way the ocean motions work. A tank close to those dimensions which is my dream tank is Carls 48x30x30 tank at ReefVideos.com about 180g`s i think. His aquascaping, corals, fish and everything are great!

As for the price for that tank at my LFS 48x36x27 starphire i believe it was about 2000 id have to double check though. I dont think it was eurobraced though and the silicon job was a bit sloppy around the bottom otherwise it looked great.

There is a thread on these over in the equipment forum with links to pricing...I believe they 300 gal was around 1600...VERY affordable.

They are nice! I saw a 150 and a 250 (+/-) at two different LFS's. I reeeeeeally wanted the big one! I think it was the same one Mikeee mentioned.

yea my lfs cost is just over 1600 for the 6 footer, but i think that the others are not much cheaper. hmmmm do i see a 300 in my future?

are these eurobraced? i hate having braces when playing around in the tank... i should of took a closer look at the tank i guess..they had a canopy on it so it was hard to tell. I then think about it.. around here its $2000 for the 48x36x27.. i could prob get AqauriumObsessed to make me one with similar dimensions eurobraced and cleaner made for about the same shipped. But for you guys the choice is easier - lucky guys!

those are great dimensions

Marine land has new 36" deep tanks that are very nice, I saw one at Salty Critter last week and was very impressed.

I think Ocanic has come out with a similar line. I have been very pleased witht he looks and pricing that I have seen fro the Oceanic tanks.
