Deepwater Reef Setup?

Hi,

I'm thinking about setting up a Deepwater Reef Tank, probably about 130G. I was wondering how the setup might differ from the typical reef tank? I'm assuming that the light requirements are near nothing so I could focus that money towards caring for non-photosynthetic corals, but what would be the ideal color temp for a tank like that?

Is the whole setup pretty much the same?

Thanks,
Dave

Hummm. good question. You may want to ask in the large tank forum. You may get a better answer.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure I'm figuring it out on my own. Sounds like heavy current since most of the inverts are almost purely non-photosynthetic, a couple NO Fluorescent 20,000K bulbs for lighting, and possibly keeping the tank a few degrees cooler than most shallow water reefs.

From what I've seen mainly more Food less light simular to a softy setup but with a little more food. Which gives you the problem of keeping it clean and keeping every thing well fed.
