dejardini or emperor?

I would agree with rkl303 about overstocking and the hopes for a large skimmer. I do not think that either one of those fish would be a good fit in a 90 gallon with those other animals. rkl303 was right about tangs needing a lot of room, and emperors get very large. I think that you should think about a different fish.

I think the red sea sailfin tang is really pretty.
However...I agree that neither is really a good fit for a 90g tank. It isn't the tank inhabitants/compatibility that is the problem in my mind - it is the tank size. Both fish get up to 15" and really should be in larger tanks. They would probably be fine in your tank when they are small, but when they get to be an adult, it might not work out. The fish will probably either be stunted or get stressed out and get more aggressive (which actually might not be a problem in an aggressive tank, not sure), or sick.
I don't know who you've talked to, but if you haven't already - maybe make a post on the "reef fishes" or the "fish only & aggressive tanks" forum and see some more responses.
What about something a little smaller, like a purple tang, puffer or toby?

i have heard that the angle can get that big but it is not very likely also with the dejardini i have heard that it takes a long time to get really big and may die before it ever gets to it's full size also with the purple tangs i have heard that they can be very teritorial.

We have 5 fish in our 90 gallon fish only. Right now they are all in the 2-3 inch range:
- French Angel
- Volitan Lion
- Blueline Trigger
- Porcupine Puffer
- Snowflake Eel (OK, so he is not 2", but he is comparable mouth-size-wise)
We know that all of these will grow large together. We plan to buy a bigger tank in another year or so when they outgrow their current home. It is a good husbandry practice to plan for the long-term health of your fish. Tangs and the non-dwarf angels should be expected to grow large. As long as you plan to upgrade when your fish need it, I would go with the Angel, like rkl said, it is a chance to get a non-reef-safe fish!
