dendro id

[saltwater freak]

hello all

I bought 2 dendro colony's about 2 weeks ago

The bigger one is 10 heads and the smaller one is 20.

The 10 head one opened up the first day and the 20 head one took about 11 days to open(just opened over the last 2 days)i was feeding the heads when closed.

Does anybody know if they are different subspecies or are they the same.

When they are closed they look alittle different.

They were being fed brine every day except the days it was getting mysis from the guy i bought them from.

I do not use brine so i have been feeding them my home made food and mysis skipping about 2 or 3 days a week

Those are not dendros they are sun corals (tubastrea)

These are in-fact both dendros. Sun corals typically have smaller polyps, are more stubby, and have thinner tentacles. Also they don't have dark red mouths with yellow centers.

yeah definetly dendros, nice ones too. those look nothing close to sun corals
