Some links:

Dendrophyllia species ID and, with few exceptions, all kinds of Tubastrea: link .

This is most common Tubastrea:

You see, that the base of the coral is the same, as the polyps, and yours looks like branching, while Tubastreas (except black) are not branching, new polyps are budding around the bigger polyps:

Thank you, that helps a great deal!

I can definitely tell the difference the polyp growth, dendros grow just like duncans.

Not my Dendro, it grows like, um, err like Tubastrea before it's trained to open in the day! Your Dendro looks great! I wish they grew like Duncans, my Duncans grow so fast you can see the growth just by watching (okay, not that fast but ya get the picture). Keep feeding and keep it growing, you will get some nice coin when you are ready to frag it.

Thanks! I just love to feed this thing!

Duncans are also fun because they just grow so fast.

You can easily double to polyps in a duncan wait daily or every other day feeding of nice meaty food.

You can get a very high growth rate if you feed a dense home-made food.
