Denitrator

Like.... a denitrator coil? I can't say I've read good reviews of those. You're not having nitrate problems are you? Live rock is a good denitrator I hear ;) .

Bah, went afk for awhile so I can't edit it now.

So I have nitrate issues, but not huge. It would always be around 25 ppm or so.

I added a phosphate reactor to get rid of the phosphate which is great. Now I want to reduce the nitrate. I love fishs and I love corals, but I don't like to have either or type of thing. If I can get nitrates down to zero and phosphate 0, I can start doing SPS again.

Seems like people have some good success with this type of reactor.

how much liverock do you have? you're running a fuge right? and which euroreef do you have on your 300? Unless you've really gone overboard with your fish load, you should probably be able to keep your nitrates down without another nitrate removing system (i.e. reactor).

Chaeto and Caulerpa (in a controlled area of course!) could help. Even a HOB power filter with macro algae instead of filter floss would probably help.

Pepe: Ya I had more stuff and will be adding more. I might end up with 30 or so in the tank lol.....

My tank has a dsb. I have tried chaeto, filter socks, ozone, and vodka. They didn't work well except for vodka. The others did some assistance, but not a lot.

I am gonig to convert a calcium reactor into a sulfur reactor and see how that goes.

Some guy had his reactor running for 2 months at 0 nitrate.
