the kelvin is the color temp ( ie 10k, 15k, 20k )

the bulb is 14000 kelvin sry i didn't see you asked that and its about 6 months old.

i can post a picture tomorrow but theres really nothing to see it has its normal skin texture ( if u know what i mean) its just white ? ?

how deep is the tank and where is the clam?

that light in what i presume is a fairly shallow tank should be fine. is there a chance that he was shocked by to much light to fast? ( moving from bad lighting ) or is being shaded by something?

the tank is 40 cm tall. and its not shaded and ive had it for 5 month and its just started to bleach now :( .. its on the sandbed..
i will get a photo when it opens up enough to see it properly

there are other reasons for bleaching, they just aren't very common in our tanks. a picture will hopefully tell the story.

the temperature swing is maybe 3 celsius from mid day - night .. and the salinity swing is maybe 1-2 over 2 days.
