Devils hand coral problem

I had my Devils' hand coral in a smaller tank, but moved it last week to my larger show tank. It was not getting enough water flow and light in the smaller tank. Af first I did not see the Devil's hand opening up and feeding as much. So, after 2 days in the newer tank, with good lighting, I can see that it is responding and looking better, except for an area around one finger that looks to have a white color on it - or maybe it is dying? Should I use a new razor and cut that area off? I can't tell if it is disease, fungus, just the coral dying off in that area, or something injured from the move. Any ideas on what I should do?

dont cut just yet......if it is black cut it off befor it spreads but if its just a lighter shade of the base color then it is most likely stressed from the move. give it a few days with good lighting and water movement and see if it perks up.
ps: it might be pinching off a frag..they do that too when stressed , if so attach to a small rock with a rubber band(not to tight) and let it grow out to trade.......gl...........al

thanks al. thinks are perking up and it looks a little better. the piece is not starting to frag, it looks like it is healing. All the little 'tentacles' or flowers are coming out to feed so I am confident that it is still overall in good health. It might be my imagination but do these things move towards the light or towards the flow? I glued it to a rock, the base of this thing was a hard piece almost like bone, but the top softer part of the coral seems to move around.

yup they will move toward the light during the day and will shrink when it gets dark.
the base is like a hard piece of leather and will hold onto just about anything if given time and not disturbed.........gl...al
