Devil's Hand Leather (Lobophytum)

Hello All,



I have a question about my Lobophytum leathers.

They are doing great and then through out the day one or the other will shrivel up/shrink and turn colors, then in about an hour the leather will expand back to its normal state and its polyps will come back out. whats happening? the only parameter that are out of whack is nitrates which is running about 20 atm.

it's shedding a mucus layer. my toadstool does it once every other day

is it normal for it to shed its mucus layer once or a few times every day? just curious, mine seems to do it everyday but i could be mistaken.

it shouldn't do it every day but if it comes back and all the pollyps are out then don't worry about it
