So i have a new frag in my tank that was very happy and open prior to my weekly water change on Wends and has been closed since.....green star polyps, candy cane and zoas are all happy. Not sure what gives....thoughts?

This is a new tank...but water quality has been spot on - ph 8 and calicuim is 400....

Should be fine soft corals will close for awhile then open many reasons? It's not uncommon if it's getting good flow your good

dont worry about it. I have one that closes u for days to shed skin and then opens up even bigger. Does this about 2-3 times a mth. I got worried just like you until i called my LFS the first time it happened............. not to worry

Mine close a ton, but I've found they close up way less if you put them in direct flow.
