Diablo protein skimmer

Hi I have a diablo xs 225 that comes with the psk 1000. The pump has failed, its totally broken. I wanted to upgrade the pump and I saw the psk 1200 also I saw the aquatrance 3000. It seems like this skimmer isn't that great for the $400 I spent on it 4 years ago. Before I used the aqua c ev 400, that thing is an animal the only reason I switched was because of the wattage it was pulling was like 150 watts vs the diablo which is like 60. Any advice on what pump to go with would be great. Thank you

Bro go back to the AquaC EV and get a Jecod DCT 10000 or 12000. I run a DCT 6000 on my AquaC EV 180 on the 3rd setting and love it. Skims like a champ.

Thank you for the advice, I might do that. Plus the 12000 is like 85 watts, that's not that bad and it's around 3000 gph. I think that would make the skimmer an absolute animal. Gonna look into that.
