Diamond Goby in Reef Tank? Confused.

We just purchased a Diamond Goby for a 75g. He's certainly fun to watch but now I have questions.

- Is this dramatic sand sifting good for a reef tank? I thought the biology of the sand bed was important.

- I have sugar-sized, fine sand. My tank is a fair bit cloudy now due to the Goby's enthusiasm. What do you do about that? I don't think my canister filter for this is keeping up.

Everything is a hang on back system. So the filter is a H.O.T. Magnum. Perhaps I need two now? We're cleaning the filter possibly twice a day now!

Will this sand cloud eventually resolve once the Goby has sifted it enough and removed the 'fines' (am I saying that right?)?

Please advice, I would really appreciate the comments.

i added one to my first reef tank which was a 20L and for the next couple days everything in the tank was COVERED in soot like sand but it went away and everything was fine from then on...i put him in my 75g and had him for the longest time but gave him away becuase he was covering up corals on the sand....as far as being dangerous to your sand bed...i dont think it will be because if its a deep sand bed the actual aenerobic part is farther down that it sifts
