If this is a new setup or new bulbs you are leaving your lights on to long. It takes bulbs a good 100 hours of burn time before they are producing ideal par values. If this is a new setup reduce your lighting to no more than 7 hours per day. In a week or two you will see a difference.

The Molly is a tropical fish that prefers a little salt in their water. A teaspoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water will go a long way in helping them. This is a very attractive tropical fish that comes in many different colors such as orange, green and black. Some of the more popular varieties include the sailfin, balloon and the dalmation

big Queen Conch. they clean mostly the sand including slime and diatom. and some hair too. I have a pair i bought 4 years ago that were less than an inch long, and they are both over 3 inches long now. cruise around the tank like sheep.

Mollie,

Al- I'll make a believer out of you one day. I'll let you borrow mine, he's already been through my, "special acclimation procedure". Sifts the sand all day long!

I can't afford a queen conch.:D

Find a store that keeps there conch in with the corals. Wait for a conch to climb onto the coral you plan on buying. Grab the newest guy/guy that doesn't seen to care in the store and ask him to grab that coral for you.

Have to get at least two conchs so they can graze each other. :-D

True... my conch has the most algae on it of anything in the tank...

Ha, that's how I got half of my snails!

i went the molly route... loads of algae for them, so i bought three, spent a full day acclimatising them. they love the tank, and confuse the hell out of visitors... " so if i can keep mollys, can i have coral too"?

trouble is, i now have twenty baby mollys in there too!

Haha, you need to acclimate an oscar to eat your mollies!

What's next, acclimate some of those cute little neon tetra's? HEHE might work.

Twenty baby mollys? Are they the only fish you are keeping? When my mollys had fry it was feeding time for everyone else.
