Diatoms or something else

My cycle is winding down (still high nitrites and nitrates) and the tank is now covered in why I believe are diatoms. However, some are green and stringy as well.

Are these just diatoms or some other type of algae?

2nd picture down, upper left corner looks like Dinos (probably not), but the rest of it looks possibly like cyano (Which I would lean more towards being your in the middle of a cycle) I would suggest increasing your flow

That is a diatoms and green algae bloom assuming your about a month month and a half in to the cycle. Incresase tge flow and blow off the diatoms.

looks like mostly diatoms to me, with maybe a little green hair and cyanobacteria.

It's normal and I wouldn't do anything.

I would consider that diatoms. At that stage I tossed in a couple turbos and a conch. They grubbed it down, but mostly it disappeared after a couple months of off and on again outbreaks. Then it turned into cyano - hit it with red Slime Remover and it's all gone.

Better flip that guy in the bottom right hand corner.

I flipped him right after I posted the picture. He's back to being all over the rock. He is the only snail in there now, a hitchhiker on the liverock acquired.

Actually I am 15 days in. I used One and Only and that piece of LiveRock to start the cycle and dosed some ammonia. Right now I still have off the charts nitrites. Waiting for them to fall so I can add in a clean up crew.
