Test your hydrometer against a refractometer ... I checked my deep six hydrometer against a refractometer and was only off by 0.001 so I didn't have to spend more $ ...

Premium Aquatics also has CPR algae scraping sponges at $.75 if you buy more than 12 ... I did and I am really happy with them

Sorry chocolate, but I tested my deep six hydrometer and it was off by .006 (was reading 1.025 and was actually 1.031). Well worth the investment and fun to destroy the other.

Yea I acknowledge the fact they can be wrong ... mine happened to be pretty accurate.
