did i just kill my zoa colony?

I bought a colony on a frag yesterday and i tried to take it off the plug and glue it to a rock and i kin of pried the bottom part open and it released an awful stench so i don't know if that was maybe an important part of the colony but it kind of looked like the inside of an oyster, that stayed attached to the plug and i glued the rest of the colony to a piece of rock

your fine that was a mussel, smells like death when opened . its not a part of your zoanthid and it will heal(not the mussel thats toast lol) in time.

Ohh and just an update the colony is doing good they started to open up a day after i glued them to the rock
