Did My Maxi Anemones Spawn???

Ok, so I have had something really weird happen. I have 5 Maxi anemones in my main tank, 4 of which are considerably large. Diameter of the biggest one is probably 5+ inches. I was sitting at the tank last week right before the lights went off, and watched the biggest maxi shoot out a huge, white cloud of something. Definitely wasnt waste. The others were doing it too for a while. I thought nothing of it at the time though. I woke up next morning and the tank was pretty cloudy, same whitish color from the anemones.
Then it happend again this morning!
have any of you seen something like this with the maxi anemones??
Is it possible for them to spawn in a home tank? thanks in advance.

Sounds like they are reproducing. Keep an eye on them and check all water parameters to make sure everything on your side is good.

Yeah sounds like it to me. I'd specifically watch out for ammonia spikes. It may not happen but what do you think is gunna happen to all that free floating "spawnage".

Funny, a group of our Mini Maxis spawned at work 3x over the weekend. Must be that time of year...

cool picture!! thanks for responding guys. I agree, it would be cool to have hundreds of them in a month or two, but i dont think the larvae will survive in a home tank
The tank was completely clear 8 hours after it happend.

episode 91 has a tank that started with 1 Rose Bubble anemone and now is almost completely filled with them, took longer than a month - but captive spawning is no joke...

Keep us posted on what you see. In about a month or two you should start seeing life spring up
