Dieing Brain?

I have an AquaPod 24 with 70W HQI and I purchased a green open brain coral from my LFS about 1 1/2 months ago. From the day I brought it home, it opened beautifully. Because it was under 250W halides at LFS (about 20" down) and was on rock (about 1/2 down in LFS tank), I placed it in the top 1/3 of my tank on the rocks. About 2 weeks after I got it, I rearranged the tank and moved it lower, but still in the rocks. It finally put out feeder tenticles and I fed it a small krill. The next night same thing...krill. Finally, after two feedings, it has slowly stopped opening, spewed brown goo, and no feeder tenticles. Now, at the advice of other local reefers, I have moved it to the bottom of the tank in the sand, but it seems to be getting worse. The color is all but gone, but I don't think the skeleton is "poking" through. Tonight its mouth was open (gaping) for a little while then it closed, but no feeder tenticles. I'm at a loss as to what to do next??? All water params are fine...Amonnia, nitrites 0, nitrates <10, calcium 420, pH 8.2, temp 79-80, and all else in tank doing well and growing.

Please help, I don't want to lose this guy...

If it's bleaching, but the tissue is intact, be sure and feed it daily with a bit of Zooplankton and Phytoplankton of some kind. Back off on the Krill until it's in better shape.

I've got a Red Open that had completly bleached, and a daily regime of MarineSnow, ZooPlan, and a little Cyclopeeze has got him coloring right back up.

Thanks gh0st...do you just turn off pumps and gently spray over him, or fashion a "cover"? If a cover, how long to keep covered while feeding?
