Differance between smelt fish & silverside?

What is the differance between smelt fish and silverside? Is it better to feed with one than the other? Does one have better nutrition value for (feeding) saltwater fishes? How do they look different?

We've been using smelts to feed our rbta for awhile now. They're a good bit bigger than the silversides that come specifically packaged for fish feeding, etc.

He seems to like them fine

not sure on values but i have been feeding my lion fish smelt and table shrimp and he is growing like crazy
