Difference between Crocea and Maxima

I was in the process of ordering some test kits and such from a site and was looking to see if they had anything I like that my LFS doesn't have. They have a turquoise looking Maxima Clam and I was wandering what the differences were if any with the Crocea Clams? The Corceas are what I see the most of and was what I was wanting to get. I have 2 250 w MH Phoenix 14ks and 2 URI SA 110w VHOs. My tank is only a little over 3 months now.

dont really understand your question. there different species. there care requirements are about the same, both need very intense light, Maximas are more sensitive and difficult to keep

I really don't know much about clams except what I've seen people have in their tanks. Most tanks I see have a Crocea. It is what I thought I wanted and didn't know there was a Maxima Clam at all. It is a beautiful clam and I'll get it if I won't kill it. If they are more sensitive I'll stay away if they don't do good in a newer tank. What makes them more sensitive or is that an impossible question to ask? Also does the size of the tank matter?

clams need a mature stable tank. they dont like fluctuations in Alk, Sg and temp. larger tanks tend to be more stable.
