I don't think I have ever read it clearly stated at what stage is a clownfish no longer considered postmetamorphosis but instead considered a juvenille. Is there a clear difference that can be determined between the two? And if so what is it based on? age? size? development?
Since there are no more major changes after metamorphosis, I would assume that a clownfish that is postmetamorphosis is a juvenile. Metamorphosis the process that turns the larval clown into a juvenile clown.
That is what I was assuming.
The only thing that can be a little confusing it that both terms are used in books after metamorphisis has occured. When making one point the term "post-metamorphisis" may be used and then when discussing something else the term "juvenille" is used.
Wasn't sure if there was something that would disqualify a post metamorphisis clown from being called a juvenille.
Thanks for your reply.
