different clowns

I have a maroon clown fish about 3 4 inches. i have in my 56 gallon tank and i wanted to add 2 3 more clown fish. i was thinking ocellaris. my question is can i add the clown fish or no? i have heard that maroons are the meanest clown fish around. if i can add the 2 3 other ocellaris is there a special way to add them like isolate the maroon until they get settled or something.

absulutly NO!the maroon will kill the clowns very quickly.

You could get a smaller maroon and hope to pair them. That is the only way possible to get anymore clowns in your tank.

there is still a chance that the maroon i have now will kill the smaller maroon i get but will it be easier if i get 2 smaller ones or does it even matter?

I think the best way with maroons would be to add a much smaller juvenile one. Be sure that you have a way to isolate him if thing get ugly.

ok i will keep that in mind. one more question, i have a white striped maroon clown. is it ok to add a smaller yellow strip maroon clown or does it have to be the exact same clown?

MAROON CLOWNS ARE THE SAME YELLOW OR WHITE.THEY BOTH HAVE THE NAME OF PREMNAS BIACULEATUS.THEY BOTH COME FROM DIFFERNT ARES BUT IF YOU DO THIS THERE IS A CHANCE OF FIGHTING.
