Digitata MAD!

Ok, Ive got a tank here that is a 60galon AGA
it has 2 175Watt XM10K's and 4 VHO actinics on it...

The guys is slowly increasing the MH photoperiod ... at a rate of 15 mins every 3 days or so...

and everything is adjusting fine... all the LPS, Sofites and SPS, which include acros, caps, digitata etc....
are doing fine...

EXCEPT this green Digitata... it is NOT opening fully durring the MH photoperiod and is only opening slightly when the VHOS are on.... He has placed it down to the bottom, and it opened just slightly...

My question is do you guys think that this Digitata is getting too much light???

Just strange that everything else is doing wonderfully but that...

just wait a while and leave it where it is. I had one that looked horrible for a couple of months then finally started to grow like a weed. just put it somewere and leave it there tell it gets adjusted to the tank better.

Digis LOVE the light...I find it hard to believe its haveing a problem with the light.

Same thing happened to my green digi when it went under my 250w MH. Took about a month, then it just took off. I have to give away frags now it grows so much.

So its just adjusting to its new lighting???

thats a good thing... besides putting it down on the bottom, is there anything else He could do to help it out?

And should he continue with the MH photoperiod increase?

I would keep it on the bottom for awhile and go ahead with the increase of the photo period.
