dimmer? for pump

I'm trying to find a way to adjust the speed on my Korallia 3 pump. My tangs don't like the amount of current it's currently producing. Is something I can D.I.Y. to do this?

Well so much for that..anyone have a Korallia 2 they want to get rid of, maybe trade me for my 3? Mine is only a month old.

I saw somewhere that people took off the tip of the impeller, and it made the flow wider. I think it is a cap that can be popped off. I am not sure because I do not own on. It could be worth a try if it pops on and off. Just any idea. I also wonder if you could use two zip ties opposite of each other. Loop around the shaft and then around the outside guard and tighten till you get the speed you want. Make sure both ties are same tension to keep impeller straight. I am sure it will diminish the life of the motor though.

Already did that. I wouldn't do the zip tie thing, I think it would cut through the impeller almost immediately. It's all good, a light dimmer works, but it's supposed to make the motor run hot, don't know if that really matters since it is in water. Seio makes a controller that works for them too, I'm just trying to do it cheap(which almost never works out for me, you'd think I'd learn my lesson).

I have a koralia 2 I bought for my 90, I failed conservative and went with the 2. It is about a month old also and I would be willing to swap for your 3. Could use a little more flow. still have the box and all.
However dont see me getting your way anytime soon.
