Dirty Sand?

My tank has been up a running almost 4 months. I have aragonite west caribbean sand which was suppose to be a fine sand( so I thought). I have a lot of coraline algae (reds, pinks and greens) which seems to be growing on the larger pieces of sand in my tank. This makes my sand bed look dirty!!! I have tried picking out the larger pieces and it looks better for a short time but then the larger pieces find there way back to the top of the sand bed and start to turn nasty looking again

Does anyone have a suggestions on what to do? I really would like a nice clean white sand bed. Can I change the sand out for some thing finer?

This is just natural and a good sign.

You might be able to keep a cucumber (they are sand cycling machines) Your tank is a bit small for most sand sifters is all (and most tend to cloud the water pretty good too)
