Diving Isla Margarita

Has anyone been to Isla Margarita off the coast of Venezuela to dive? I read that there is xenia coral off the coast of Venezuela but not sure if it is near Isla Margarita. Does anyone know? I would be curious to dive there to see if it is true.

Never been there, but have been to bonaire off the Coast of Venezuela and pretty sure i remember some xenia coral there so fair chance. If your looking to harvest then no Bonaire as it is completely protected but if your just looking for amazing dives i highly recommend looking into it as it has some of the best shore diving in the world. We had a rental and literally just drove around the island and would stop at one of many markers and walk out to dive some amazing reef.

I believe that Xenia is not native to the area. It was introduced.

I read that xenia coral was introduced off the coast of Venezuela and I was wondering if it is growing more or if it is being removed. I feel that if it is still growing and expanding then I would be interested in seeing it. I like how xenia looks when it is flowing in the current. There is a large fish tank at the pet store and it is full of xenia and it looks beautiful to me.
