Diving shops/guides in Nassua Bahamas?

My fiance and I are going on a cruise to the bahamas in July for our honeymoon. We are both certified (or I am, and she is currently in the class).

When I asked my instructor if the cruise guided scuba tours where any good, he mentioned that it might be more fun and cheaper to find a local dive shop and have them take us.

If that is true, any one know of good dive shops/guides that we would have a good time with. It will be our first real dive in the ocean.

Thanks!

The best reason to use the Dive Op booked through the cruise ship is that if they are late getting you back to the dock the ship would have to wait for you. The reason to not use the Dive Op booked thru the ship is that they often take you to a closer dive site that may not be an optimal dive site. If you can find out what dive op the ship uses, check out their site, their boat and reviews. Have fun.

We know people who work at Stuart's Cove so we dive for free thing is if u have a short port of call i would not go to them they r all the way on the southwest end on the island.

We have a friend who works for Stuart's Cove. We met on a trip in Belize on a liveraboard trip. He has many good things to say about Stuart Cove and many good videos we watch from all the trips their. Enjoy your new life with diving it's the best.

thanks for the info.

I have seen the adds for stuarts cove, I may have to look into that.

The port call is nice and long so I'm not too worried about time (6:00am to 11:59pm)
