Our CIMA club will be having a DIY calcium reactor project going on when you come to visit us in September. I figured I could pass this opportunity along to anyone from SLASH as well. Here are the details the CIMA members are working with...
CIMA will provide the first ever club-demonstration of a DIY calcium reactor. Anyone looking to build their own reactor in the near future is encouraged to participate. The cost will be $175 with a refund of $10 â€"œ 20 anticipated depending on how shipping of the acrylic tubing works out. Included in the price will be a functioning reactor that comes with both a bubble counter and an Ehiem recirculation pump. You will still be responsible to purchase a CO2 tank and regulator on your own to get the unit operational. To get involved in the project reply to this e-mail (or post on this thread) noting your interest and payment details for the $175 will be supplied. Due to the required purchase of materials, Friday, September 1 will be the last day possible to be included in the project.
