A couple years ago I bought a bunch of led supplies to do a build. They r still sitting and the ones I have r half outdated and also MUCH cheaper these days lol. I have the huge heavy heatsinks 2 that are 41/10" and a couple fans for them after getting them built. Plan to do 1 side here soon and have the following LEDs avail. XR-E's 25ww, 61cw and 49rb. I have 70 * optics for these also. I also have XP-E 32b and 30rb with 50* optics for them. My plan now is to do each side as follows but would love to hear about some uv LEDs and other exotic colors if needed. Reading the newer threads seems things have changed big time. This is what I have planned on each heatsink running 3 standard mw 48d's on each side for a total of 6 when the build is done. 30rb with 18b xp-e's off 2 48d's with 24 off each parallel using fuse and res. Then off another mw 18cw and 6ww xr-e's. Back a couple yrs ago many more LEDs were thought to be needed then today that's for sure. I run 2 sol's on my 60 cube but they never get near 100%. The white only hit about 35%. These r the sol whites though and not the blue. I have some supp rb led on that tank also lol so 60 LEDs on a 2/2' tank but then again on very low % so I am hoping the tank will not be dim for the recommended 144 LEDs on my 240. Ligths will be hung roughly 12-16" above water. Can I get some recommendation on dif colors or things in the new era of led reef lighting. Again was wondering if 12 uv 6 on each heatsink would be to little or to much also? I know it would take the mw total to 7 1 over the recommended 6 in a house.
