OK I made my PVC overflow yesterday and it seems to work pretty well with no leaks noticed on the test run. My question is what is the point of capping off the air inlet at all?
Does it make more pressure so it flows faster? Is it just to quiet it down?
I haven't noticed alot of noise when I tested it but that might be because I was letting it drain straight into a 5 gallon bucket which was about a 2 foot drop into the bottom. That was all the noise that I heard.
If it will be a noise issue I do have caps and a drill if it is recomended for some reason.
Thanks,
