DIY Reflector/canopy/lights

I am going to build a canopy for my 90g. i have currently 2 coralife 130w and i have 2 130w pc retros, one of the retros i installed in a gutted 48" striplight (you know stock lighting for a 90 or 75 it does have a nice reflector in it) The other retro is sitting unused because there is no more room for it (i have to pic a light up every time i feed the tank!)
So i plan on building a canopy and gutting the two coralifes and installing both retros giving me 8x65 watt pc. this will get the lights off the tank so i can get access a little easier this will also allow me to fit the extra retro in.
1st do you see any issues here or have any advise other than go buy halides or new lighting for that matter because i am poor and am not doing that also the canopy can only be 7inches tall.
2nd what should i use as a reflector would white paint be good you think?

look under diy canopies and they have links to sites that sell retro kits cheap.
i got my metal halides with bulbs for 150.00 (175w)
also why can't your top be over 7"?

well my top cant be over 7" because: I bult a 4' stand add the 90g and the lip is 6' the tank sits in between 2 beutiful antique bookshelves that are built into the wall and go all the way to the ceiling. and 7" above the tank is a very beutifull stained glass window. if i build a canopy any more or less than 7" it wouldnt look very good but at 7" would look very nice.

check out these two sites.
the retro compact or vho would save you alot of trouble and work alot better and a much cleaner install. also don't forget to look on ebay for lighting.
