DIY Rock workshop????

It will be up and running on salt in a week or so. The rock should be all curred by now, but I'll let it run for a few more days and check Ph and Alk if it is good, Ill drain and fill with RO/DI.

I only have 2 or 3 pieces of wild live rock.

It should be 98% aqucultured rock, 150lbs of Tampabay's keys rock, 75lbs of home made GARF rock, and a few hundred lbs of cut keys rock, travertine and base rock.

The stone work has been in the tank with fresh tap water for 24hours now. the water ph was 7 yesterday and now its 8.

Do I wait and re-test tomorrow?

Do I wait a few days and re-test?

Do I drain and fill with old salt water from the 120g?

OR do I drain and fill with RO/DI and make new salt water in the tank?

My plan is RO/DI water and mix the salt in the system.

Ok but do you think my rock is cured enough to use. It's all (except the capital ) at least 4 months old and spent 8 weeks in fresh water.

If you didn't change anything in the water and the pH went from 7 to 8, I would test for a few more days until it's stable.
Also, I still need a phone # for the Central American Marine Aquarium Society guys.

Mike, Ill start making RO then.

Thats right he was supposed to bring me his card, Ill ask my neighbor he has it.

what day are we thinking of doing this workshop? How does the 28th or 29th of april sound? Or any of the weekends in May, except for Memorial?
