Can you be more specific,

Are you looking for plans for a canopy to install the ligths into or just a simple light box to put them in ?

not so much a canopy, just what materials necessary to build one, and if anyone has a plan/outline for t5's

I build 2 sets of retrofits for my 150 gallon,

all you need are:

bulb,
water proof end sockets
18 guage wires
a ballast

I am using a sun light supply retro fit, it cost $160 for a 58in 2 bulb set from reefgeek.com

what no fans, lol? can i see what yours looks like so I can have a idea on how to proceed? Anyone with pics is also welcomed to post, the more the better. Any pics of DIY T5 retros out there?

If I remember when I get home, I'll take some pictures of the hood I made for my 6x54W T5's. I bought this kit from ReefGeek and have been very happy. I just built a hood out of pine, sealed it inside and out and mounted the Sunlight Supply retro kit inside. It was easy.
