I just made my first 2part. I followed recipe 2. 1 1/8 cups baking soda to 1 gallon Ro. Can I use it right away or does it need to sit? Is there a way to test and see if I made it correctly?
Use it without worry. There is a way to test but I'm not sure why you would want to. Just test your tank a few hours after adding it to make sure alkalinity raises afterwards
Thanks. I'm gonna set it up tonight. Im gonna start out at 72 ml which is just a hair higher than my demand. I'd like to raise my Alk a bit. so I'm gonna do 3 ml every hour.
Any recommendations for the calcium additive? Do you all prefer one diy method over the other? I'm probably gonna have to order the calcium chloride so I just wanna make sure I get the right one.
