Diy Zoa Morph

The boy who cried fish
Hey guys. So anyways I have heard of people trying to Morph zoas. I am going to make a list of successful ways to do that. This thread will stay updated. If not pm me.

I have heard of people taking a syringe and pulling out the juice of a palmy and putting it into a Zoa or such. Anyone want to take one for the team?

Paly sorry
Ok so number
1. Take a needle and a syringe and take juice out of one zoa and put it in another.

Ok I wasn't trying to sound rude etc. I just wondered if it was a paly like you stated or if there was a palmy coral. It is impossible to keep up with everything in the hobby though some are pretty good at it.

I seem to remember some discussion of this and figured it had to do with color pigements that could affect coloration. Have a red morph and inject it into a blue one and now you have a red and blue morph. I have no clue if this is a long-term change though.

Anyone?

2. Taking two morphs and physically cutting them and letting the Frankenstein monster live. People have taken nuclear greens and purple deaths and gotten a new color morph though it wasn't consistent for each polyp. The name seemed to be something like nuclear deaths or something.

All of this is just off the top of my head and really have not paid enough attention to these to remember more details than that.

3. Different lighting conditions can change a color morph too.

Just a thought...Careful as I have heard some zoas can be very toxic and be dangerous to your health. Although ive never experienced anything of the sort, there are many horror stories about it happening in the fourms.

While this sounds interesting, logically speaking I don't see how this would work. Just because I sucked up some stuff and inserted it into another zoa doesn't mean that they will change genetically. Grafting, maybe. But this, I don't think so.

i'm with you on this one.... this sounds a little odd to me...

Hey its worth a shot. Im gonna inject a tubbs blue into a god of war. If i get a blue god of war that will be sweet. Im not expecting it to work but im bored today and have plenty of both.

Neat how is it?

And I have heard of people gluing zoas on the same rock and they grow together and morph .

I cant imagine this will work. Taking a needle and pulling out the "juice" of one zoa and injecting it into another just seems like your going to kill both polyps. If it works though more power to you, lets see the pics if it does!
